Corsair cable compatibility?

Go to solution Solved by quan289,

The pinout of the AX1200 is different from the other Corsair PSUs and has it own sets of cables. You just can't get any of the cables just because it merely looks the same.

The RM850 utilized the newer "Type 3" (Gen 2) pinout, which you need to buy this kit:

And this 24-pin:

Will these cables work with a RM 850?

It says it's only for an AX1200 but it seems like they would work to me.

Thanks for your time.

Searched in their filter for red and RM series.

The original AX series had quite a bit different modular design than what they use today for AXi or RM. For example, the 24 pin is split and things like that.

I can't justify $100 on aesthetics so I thought I'd make sure. Thank you for the help.
