Automatic Overclock (?)

Hi,

I tried to mine with Awsome Miner with my AORUS GTX1080.

The card should be controlled by an awful Gygabyte software. From the last update it seems to be not working (I cannot even change the lights colors). I set the speed from that software to overclock which has a boost of 1860MHz. The problem is that form NZXT's monitoring software I can see that while mining the GPU clock speed is 1935MHz ...

Yestserday it rebooted itself when I was mining + browsing.

 

When I log into Windows I have an AI Suite 3 server error, some problems with the motherboard? (Asus Crosshair VI Hero)

I think that I don't have the latest bios update, but if I check from Asus' software it says I have the latest one (I did last update in September)

 

Also, now I'm at school (so sorry for delay in my answers) and I can't connect with team viewer, I hope in a connection problem at home.

thats gpu boost 3.0 for you, completely normal to see higher boost clocks than whats told on the box

Could the reboot have been caused by a mb instability, or just too much gpu load?

could be a number of things, could be load on the GPU, could have been a windows update, if you are overclocked on your CPU you can try to set it back to stock if you keep rebooting
