Won't post.

Hayashi

Putting my rig together it posted just fine, got into the bios and set everything up, now the screen won't even turn on. Just "41" on the motherboard LED, I've switched out the cables yet it only runs for a bit then turns off. Maybe power supply?

What is postcode 41 in your motherboard manual and what are your system specs.

Presumably "OEM post memory initialization codes", it's an Asus board with Zotac cards and everything on water.

I'll give that a try, though I feel it may have something to do with my power supply (AX1200I)

usually that's a improperly seated RAM module. removing it and reseating it can sometimes solve the issue.

did you OC the RAM? Did it boot properly afterwords?

Did you remove and reseat the ram? How many ram sticks do you have?

Maybe try flash the BIOS by resetting the CMOS?

Screens just blank, can't even flash it.

The normal troubleshooting rules apply-

Remove all but 1 stick of ram.

If your CPU has integrated graphics, remove the GPU.

Removal all bu the boot drive.

see if it posts.  If it does, add back one thing at a time till you find the culprit.

And you followed these troubleshooting steps?

Reset the CMOS (resets BIOS), don't flash the BIOS.

I mean resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery on the motherboard, its a silver disk battery that may be hidden by you're graphics card.

Ok, did you do a post-check before you water-cooled everything?

Oh geez, you did a custom loop and this happened even after doing a test post?

That's really bad luck man. Sorry to hear that.

Try everything easy to get at first I guess.

It's probably something not seated right like others were saying like the ram. You need to remove stuff and plug it back in. The cables too. If it posted before hand and there has been no water or physical damage, it's definitely something like that.

Great news. Removed a RAM stick now it boots. Now the long process of installing the OS.

I'd try that ram stick again. It probably just wasn't seated right. Don't chuck it right away thinking it's no good ;)

I feel it's an issue with the cables and PSU won't boot with my custom sleeved extensions so stuck with the stock ones.

Wait, didn't you just say it started working after removing a ram module?

I'm confused now.

Did you try switching those cables at the same time or something?

I did, though I feel it may also be that given when putting all my RAM in it wouldn't boot.
