Help with ram overclock

So yesterday I finished building my first rig but when I tried to overclock the ram the system would refuse to boot and not even reach the BIOS. After arround 5 restarts it would boot but without the overclock. 

I tried to use the XMP profiles both 1 and 2 and neither worked

I also tried to select from the list of speeds and latency the one that matched the most with my ram and that didn't work either. 

I have a 16GB G. SKILL Trident Z RGB, Ryzen 5 1600x and my MOBO is an  MSI B350 tomahawk arctic.
