Asus router, IPTV

Hello!

Have been struggling a lot the last few hours trying to set up my IPTV. Using the router my ISP sent me obviously works but its totally garbage so I want to use my asus RT-AC55U instead.
Been checking online for how to get it to work and found several threads where its as easy as going to LAN > IPTV , setting your ISP profile to manual mode and fill in the IPTV VID on port 4.

After doing so my TV works but I lose all connection to the internet, the router simply displays "Disconnected". I also get the same problem leaving all the VID fields blank, it occurs as soon as I switch to manual mode.

Anyone got any idea on how to fix this?
I am running the latest stock firmware.

Sadly this type of problem sounds to be specific to your ISP.

 

Is there no one who has the same ISP as you with a configuration set you can mimic?

 

Also, why that specific VID on Port 4?

 

I ask as it is quite possible that your ISP will block the connectivity if you are not using their device, which could result in devices connecting to your router, but not being able to hit their network.

Its definitely not an ISP issue. The thread if found for these settings has many people with the same ISP using those settings and its working fine for them.
