I have been wanting to build a new gaming rig since I sold my last one a few years ago. I believe I have picked out a mostly comprehensive build for what I want.

Here is what I have chose so far in pcpartpicker. I have the case already. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/6T43f8

Wanting to keep this around 2500-2800 for the whole thing. USD$.

I want a very solid build for dedicated mid-high end gaming and some music project (not very many). No streaming or video editing. Performance and response are my goals. I want to experience 1440p at 144hz with G-Sync. I will not be using a multiple monitor setup. I want to keep my attention on games at all times. I will mostly be doing serious WoW PvP, some FPS. and Skyrim for fun with mods. I do not intend to take up much space. I plan to use an m.2 ssd for the first time as my OS drive.  I have plenty of external storage so onboard space is not extremely important. I feel my drive choice of 500gb in the SSD I choose for game storage is adequate. I want something very fast and very responsive for what I do. I want to secure and harden the system as well. I have elected to find a board without WiFi or Bluetooth. RGB is not particularly important either. My case is mostly closed with a 230mm fan on the side. Small window.

I have decided to go with a Z370 intel platform. I do plan to overclock slightly. I am still unsure of my MOBO choice. I am comparing other boards constantly to what I have picked out. I am open to suggestions. And my CPU cooler choice as well. I also may add additional things in the future such as a sound card.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Yea, the mouse is a bit weird for me too, looks more like a razer naga mouse, xD

I sold my old pc, planning to buy a Logitech G903 mouse, looks pretty lit+ it's wireless so there's no wire hassle.

Seems good, just don't personally like the mouse :P

Eh, it looks cool and seems inexpensive. In the past I used a Razer Naga and it was wonderful to have all the numbers binded. Figured this would be a good addition.

I would recommend taking a 3 or 4 TB HDD with a larger SSD beside that, everything else seems fine

I feel like that would be abit of a waste. My game selection is very small. On my previous PC I barely went past 300 gbs,  I also have a large amount of external storage. I can add another internal drive at another time. But, that much storage would be unnecessary for me. The m.2 will be great for my win 10 pro OS and the other sata 500gb drive is plenty for games I play. I do not watch movies or do anything that requires that much storage.

What do you think about this?

See previous reply. Also, m.2 SSD is one of the focal points of this build.

Yea, true, I got a 2TB HDD and 256GB SSD pc for Christmas this year, and the only reason I bought a 2TB HDD was cause I have a large selection of Big Games, so yea...

Then go with the list you made at first, everything there seems fine, put there is a compatibility warning below, look at that, make sure it's not anything bad that would effect your build baddly

The compatibility error is in regards to the use of the m.2 drive. Using it will disable one of the sata ports..which is not that big of a deal to me sinse I will not have that many drives.
