evga 750w Is this a good system?

My system Hey guys, i was wondering is my system okay? I know with these ridiculous gpu pricing i just went with an older card till i get enough money for a better one. Also my psu is that enough wattage for my system? Or did i over do it. I know they say to not skimp on your psu so i got a 750w just in case.

750w is a lot more than sufficient. 500W would be fine.

I had an R9 380X for a while, it's a pretty solid card that is comparable to a GTX 970 but that actually has 4GB of RAM, I also never really went over 270 watts, it did once and blew a fuse lol. Mine was overclocked to like 1200MHz tho so it fucking hauled ass, close to a reference GTX 980 with no manual overclock.

So would a 550w work then? I did some research and some sites said the r9 380x hits like 290w on full load

You should go with a 500W PSU for that build, my suggestion...

I have an i7 6700k and two RX 580s with a 500W power supply, so I'm pretty sure 550W is enough
