Question on ram

Seemingly dumb question to experienced builders but can I stick ram that says for intel z170 into an h170 board and if so would there be any problems? I know I could look elsewhere online but if there are any problems its best for the pc community to say

It would work fine, the only difference is that the RAM won't run faster than 2400mhz (if it can run faster).
