Posted January 2, 2018 I have been looking at a new laptop for a while and this MSI: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-gs-series-stealth-pro-15-6-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-1tb-hdd-256gb-ssd-aluminum-black/5712735.p?skuId=5712735 had been staying on top till i saw this: http://www.microcenter.com/product/486481/1510_156_gaming_laptop_computer_-_black I like how clean and professional the MSI-GS looks because it is basically a MSI-WS (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1317921-REG/msi_ws63_7rk_280us_ws63_i7_770hq_p3000_16gb_256ssd.html) but for the price I really can't see giving up a GTX1070 just for a pretty face I will be replacing my very aged gaming tower (i5-750, Radeon HD5770) with the laptop so I do want the ability to play games, but I also will be carrying it around with me to use at work for audio playback/record and for testing video and network lines Mainly what I want to know is if there is a reason I should choose one over the other, or if there is something else I should be looking at. The target I had set was min: 16GB RAM, GTX1060-6GB, 7th gen i7, and less than $2000 but preferably under $1500. I normally keep pc's for 5-10 years so it also needs to last but I do tend to take good care of my electronics.
