So I seen the DIY desk PC on the llt channel which made me more inclined to finally build a desk PC of my own however there was some things about the LTT desk that I didn't like and not to mention I have very little woodworking skills and the little experience that I do have has shown me to create shoddy pieces at best :) so bearing all this in mind I thought there may be a simpler way of building something similar, I love Ikea it's great but I knew if I was to cut a hole in an ikea desk and attach a box with a pc in it the the under side the whole thing would fall apart so I thought if I buy a sheet of MDF glue it to the underneath of the ikea table then cut the square out of the both pieces and attach the box to the underneath of the MDF. any suggestions, ideas or criticism would be greatly appreciated

How to make a budget desk PC:

1. Buy a desk with big drawers.

2. Build an ITX system in one or more of the drawers.

3. Enjoy.

I would avoid gluing a PC to a desk at all costs, if the glue's too strong, you will damage the table while getting the PC out, however with a weak glue, due to heating and cooling, your glue will become so weak the PC could fall out randomly, so your PC gets damaged.

I would suggest you get one of those Zotac Mini boxes and attaching it to the desk with the VESA mounts. You'll save a lot of headaches.

I don't think I properly connived what I am Actually trying to do I would buy on of the cheap linmon tables from Ikea I would then cut a square out of the middle of it I would then get a piece of MDF  Cut the same Hole in it attach the Table legs for the ikea desk to the bottom of the Piece of MDF and then use L brackets to attach the MDF box which the pc would lay in to the sheet of MDF and glue the Ikea desktop to the top of the Sheet of MDF and place a reinforced piece of glass over the top(removable so I can access the PC
