Gaming network cards question

Go to solution Solved by Unhelpful,

No. If you are just gaming then no. They really arent worth it.

If you really want one though you probably dont need more than this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106036&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Are gaming network cards worth it? Is there a difference between the one that's integrated into my motherboard vs a dedicated PCl-E one? Any recommendations would be nice. 150-200$ is what I'm looking to spend if they are worth the money.

Motherboard: MSI-990FXA-GD65 | CPU: AMD FX-8350 @ 4.3Ghz | CPU Cooler: Corsair H100 | RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz | GPU: MSI GTX 770 Lightning @ 1300Mhz CC and 8000Mhz MC | Case: Fractal Design ARC Midi R2 | PSU: Corsair AX850 | OS: Windows 8.1

Alright well thanks for the info. I guess I'll use the money elsewhere.

yea my best advice it just buy a motherboard or laptop that comes with either a Intel NIC or a Killer one. ASUS even has a utility now thats close to killers but not as low level, but I think it only works with the realtek NIC's. So I guess its their like we cheeped out on the NIC but we gave you a piece of software to make up for it. :D :D :D

P.S. In most cases software cant replace better hardware ;)
