Windows 10 Fastboot issue

Ironwhale2009

Evening all,

I have had a perplexing issue that has now happened on two occasions.

Basically, on commanding my computer to Shut Down I get greeted with the standard screen declaring it is shutting down, the screen goes blank and then displays the windows login screen.

Previously I fixed it by running the trouble shooter on windows update, but this time that hasn't worked.

I have had to resort to turning fastboot off in the power menu in order to affect shutdown, which is an okay temporary measure.

what i really need help with is now is fixing the problem, ideally without restoring or rolling back windows.

I have tried the steps found in the links below & uninstalling and reinstalling windows updates.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/3211190/fast-startup-causes-hibernation-or-shutdown-to-fail-in-windows-10-or-8

and here is a dump of some commands i have tried
