RAM majorly underperforming

Hey everyone,

 

Recently I upgraded my computer to a Ryzen 5 1600X, NVIDIA GTX 970, Asus ROG STRIX B350F MOBO, and 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 2400 ram. Everything was underperforming until earlier today where i finally got the drivers to install correctly and overclocking to work. However, the ram is still severely underperforming, and I'm not sure how to fix it. If anyone can help, please let me know.

did you put the ram in the correct slots(slot a2 and b2) if not try that

Was it a clean OS install or an upgrade and what do you have the RAM set to in the BIOS?

It was a clean os install and I have them set to 2400mhz in the bios.

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers from the AMD website (not from the Asus website)? A new version came out a few days ago which is a good idea to install. And did you update the BIOS when you built the system?

I didn't, I just changed it and everything seems to be working great now. Thanks!
