Dead MB?

LargestGnome

Yo, I've been having issues with my rig the past few months, for a while I thought it was the GPU, five or so members on another post told me to trash my GPU said their prayers and told me better luck; buy a new one. I ended up getting it working again.

it was acting shawty for several weeks with random crashes. As it's mainly a Kodi box these days I've been just using onboard.

alas a new problem arrives.

today I got home and was playing with my new shin pads (hockey) and took one off and it hit the ground and bumped my computer. The side was off but it just touched the shell on the ground.. my screen froze and boxed up. Roughly 25 large rectangles filled my screen with what was the YouTube video I was watching.

now it won't boot any imagine with onboard graphics, DVI or HDMI on 3 different monitors.

pulled the CMOS battery and it remains the same sad stage, all fans spinning but no output.

id assume mobo toast?

This I could agree on.

better than a GPU..

never had had any parts die this is my first rig so just confirming :)

glad I spent $450 in new hockey sh*t today.

lul.

Glad you have it booting again, does sound like your RAM wasn't seated together. Make sure your BIOS is working correctly and up to date, if it has any issues in the future it could take other hardware down with it.
