Hello everyone,

I'm having a little trouble with GeForce Experience and I'm hoping that someone can help.

I want to re-install GeForce Experience and not have it automatically scan my computer for games to 'optimize'.

I found this thread where you add/change some values to make GFE not auto scan, but it does anyway. https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/5iihbu/disable_geforce_experience_startup_scan/

Even before you sign into GFE, if I go into the config file and remove the searched folders, it will just add games from those folders anyway.

I've also come to the conclusion that GFE searches for keyword files/folders when doing its scan. 'Steam' and 'Game(s)' seem to be two keywords that it looks for.

I also found a video where you change a good amount of code to block the forced sign in and use GFE as anonymous. Through this code you can also block the automatic scanning of files/folders for games.

However this method doesn't seem to work for me, after restarting GFE to finish the login, GFE is completely white.

Has anyone got a solution to stop GFE from searching for games to 'optimize', as well as how to remove games that have already been added?(I'm not talking about the hide button.)

I personally despise GeForce Experience, just too many bad experiences.  I would suggest that you just uninstall it. If you're looking to use ShadowPlay, you can use the Xbox app built into Windows 10 or OBS to record games.
