Help: Group Message Receiving

So guys... I need help. I have an LG Spectrum 2 and I'm on Verizon. I have been having trouble receiving group messages from other people. I always know when they send them out, as I get them, but when they arrive, it says I need to download them and there is a little download button. When I press the download button, it doesn't do anything and won't download. I know that some of them have Verizon, and I have received messages from people with iPhones so it isn't an Android/Apple thing... It has been quite a nuisance, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
