Kind of misleading. You wrote a good "how-to" on how to change a hostfile, and probably taught a couple of people some things. But this isn't going to make your network any noticeably faster, unless you're using re-todd-id DNS servers.

You should have just told people to point there DNS to OpenDNS and it would give people better results.

I'm thinking about doing that in the future....

and it won't make your network faster... Unless you have a really slow DNS (some ISPs have shit DNSs)
