I recently built a new rig and its been running flawlessly for the past week. All of a sudden, while playing Desinty 2, my system started making the constant beep sound typically associated with overheating. It goes away after Alt+Esc out. I checked MSI Afterburner to see what the temps were when it happened and the temps never got above these thresholds:

7700k: Temps < 55 C on all cores

1080 TI Hybrid: < 45 C

This is in a Cooler Master HAF 932 and Im really confused as to why its generating that sound when the temps are well below their respective limits. Any insight or info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My setup:

ASUS Prime A Z270

i7 7700K

EVGA 1080 TI Hybrid

16 GB G Skill Ripjaws

HAF 932

Win 10 Pro
