ok guys few questions, as this will be my first time running cards in SLI, if you have seen my new build log you know I am trying to resurect an old build and see what I can get out of it, I've already got an 850w power supply so I figured I could grab another GTX 460 SE and run them in SLI, question will my C2D E8400 be a bottle neck running them in SLI, second I've seen bench marks and its nearly double the performance but cant seem to find any real life tests, what kinda frame rate should I expect to gain when I run the video cards in SLI

SLI is honestly not worth it. It all depends upon the game developer coding for it and supporting it which is iffy at best and really does lack good support overall. As for the bottlneck question, if you get a game that can support the SLI properly, then yes your CPU will be a bottleneck.

I did find a C2Q Q9650 on ebay that I've placed a bid on, I know this processor is a fair bit better than the E8400 I mostly play older games and it does decently just wanting to get a little more out, PC does bench higher than the build thats in my sig, I am looking for a better case so I can have better cooling
