Possibly. I honestly wouldnt put the stress on the slot. You can see if it posts, but the stress may in time damage the DIMM slot.

That said, why is that 3/4-pin connector coming from the CPU block not plugged in?

In fact there are a lot of other connections still no connected...I'm assuming you are still putting the computer together...
