Need a CPU recommendation

all you have to do is make sure you enable the XMP profile in the BIOS for your memory so that it run at the advertised speed...it takes 20 seconds, you save and it will always boot that way afterward.

otherwise i THINK all memory will run at 2666mhz on this kit (correct me if i'm wrong anyone)

And since you get a Z370 board you can run fast memory as well, which can benefit too in many modern games.

it's a good choice for a high end gaming PC while keeping an eye on the wallet ATM in my opinion.

But like i said, watch reviews both have pros and cons...but the intel has more pros than cons IMHO.
