overclocking my strix 1080, is this normal?

but I don't understand this: 

 

 

I maxed the bar in the GPU boost clock, doesn't let me go beyond 01971 but in the video the guy can go over 2000

 

I ran the benchmark gradually and my temps are at 62º with fans at %70

this is my score on Heaven:

There's an option to unlock it in the settings. I was using the Asus software with my 1080 Strix after upgrading the vbios to an OC version. Found that MSI Afterburner works better.

Think he means the bios on the card, not the mobo.

 

What clock is the card maintaining in games/benchmarking?

have not tried on games yet, but I just ran the benchmark with this:

 

 

after that I started seeing purple artifacts

 

I don't know which is the final value, since in the benchmark tool it shows boost clock of: 2101

I use precisionx, I trust its reading over anything. As I would any gpu program. Compared to what benchmarking programs say. Like unigine always reads off.

The card will automatically boost higher if temps and power allow. The card will push itself to certain limits if those I mentioned arent too high. With MSI Afterburner you can actually adjust that boost and keep it within reason.

I turned on my PC today and looks like the profile its saved but is not using it http://prntscr.com/hn3744 any recommendations to OC using MSI afterburner? or a guide I can use?

plenty of guides on YouTube. Isn't too difficult to set the sliders on power and voltage to max. Then step up core clock and test each time. I go by +25 each time. Ended up with 175 on the core and 400 on the memory.
