All the Lag

I have an older build. AMD 8350, asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0, 32 gb ram, bunch of storage, plus a 1080 strix and I am hard lined into a moca. Every game I play, mainly R6 and HOTS, I can load in fast but then I rubber back and disconnects. This is happening for two weeks now and I cant even play. Any suggestions or tips?

I would start by making sure all your drivers are up to date, specifically your motherboard's internet drivers(unless you use a PCIe card for ethernet)

Im not using a PCIe card, just the one on the motherboard. The drivers are up to date. Anything else?

First of all change your CPU as quickly as possible

You have a massive bottleneck

No. The only other thing I have is a old computer that I re purposed as a Linux server. The CPU may be a bottle neck but I don't know why that would only be effecting me recently?? It wasn't even gradual. It was overnight that it just shit the bed.

Hardware specs are minor thing when we are talking about network issues. Whats your connection? Does this happen all the time or just certain times a day? Are there other users using same network? Anything else that shows same behavior? Like sites loading slowly, slow/buffering video on YT and other sites like that etc.

I can watch videos all day on my pc with no buffering. Wifi is a little spotty here and there during "peak hours" in my neighbor hood. When I run speed tests Im getting 180 down - 22 up. What could it be?
