Hey guys,

I've got a bit of a problem. Some virus is on an HP pavilion running W10.

Hard power off, got into bios to try to boot off USB (hirens boot CD).

Doesn't work. USB is legacy ,but secure boot is on.

Turn secure boot off, try again, tries to boot into windows. Windows tells me to restart, I do it. Jump into bios, try changing boot order again (there's funny little symbols, maybe corruption?).

Restart, no video output.

AFAIK hardware is still good, when I put cds into CD drive it still spins up like it tries to read but there's still no video out at all.

Help pls?

Minor clarification

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

If you have a virus, it will not affect your BIOS.

The problem is I disabled secure boot :\

Would that have anything to do with it?

It's usually necessary for secure boot to be disabled in order to boot from USB. So probably not.
