So I'm building a new pc and I'm not that experienced as you might have already assumed. The confusion starts with this single rank, dual rank stuff. Basicaly, I see the same ram with almost the same price and no differences in technical specs other then "single rank" and "dual rank" in the name

Single Rank: https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/8GB-Crucial-Ballistix-Sport-LT-Single-Rank-grau-DDR4-2666-DIMM-CL16-Sin_1168436.html

Dual Rank: https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/8GB-Crucial-Ballistix-Sport-LT-Dual-Rank-grau-DDR4-2666-DIMM-CL16-Singl_1172140.html

Can someone explain to me what the difference is, does it matter, and wich one I should buy?

P.S. I only have money for 1x8gb stick atm but im planning on buying another one in near future.

Single Rank contains memory chips only on one side of the dimm. Dual Rank contains chips on both sides. I don't know the pros and cons, but if you're choosing for a Ryzen build, Ryzen prefers Single Rank.
