yesterday i brought a pc and i need help on that

I brought core i5 3470 3.2 With gigabyte GA Z77HD3 and 4*2 total 8GB Corsair memory.

as i am new on this i don't know how to overclock also don't know how much should i do so please give me suggestion

Firstly what cooling for the cpu do you have ??? Are you on the stock cooler ???? or a aftermarket.

You cant overclock that CPU. You need a K series such as a core i5 3570k or an i7 3770k.

You can increase the multiplier by as much as +4. That is the limit on Intel locked processors. K-series are unlocked and allow much higher multipliers.

thanks both of you. i understand this. can you also tell me that as i don't have any graphics card yet so what is the maximum i can use on board graphics. in default is show 64mb but there is a increase option.

also i install 8gb ram it's show only 7.70 usable. why ?

Just leave it as default.

2. RE: RAM

Most likely your onboard graphics is taking some memory.

i don't have any gpu yet so how to use the onboard till i buy a gpu ?
