Compromising for Gaming PC

This is my current list. I want to try to upgrade it to an i5-8600k with a stronger cooler for overclocking, which is around 130 CAD more, without adding much to the current prices. Would it be a good idea to reduce the RAM to 8GB DDR4-3200, which I can upgrade later, and perhaps buy a slightly less expensive monitor?

Is this your current setup, or what you plan to get? Or do you have some of the parts? You can manually set prices for the components

IMO yes. Unless you do some RAM-heavy stuff, 8GB is still good enough.
