Hello all!

My current PC is lacking quite a bit the last few months, given it's age of almost 7 or 8 years old, it isn't too surprising. So I thought it will be time for a upgrade!

Budget & Location

My budget is around 1000/1200 euro. (Netherlands for Location)

Aim for the new PC

The aim for the new PC is to do standard web-browsing and play newer games with more FPS instead of a measly 10 FPS. Games like Fall Out 4, GTA 5. Such titles, since my current PC can't handle them.

My aim is to game at 1440p.

Monitors

I currently have 2 monitors, a Samsung Smart TV and a BenQ2222HDL monitor.

Peripherals

Mouse + Keyboard I have, will be upgraded later. Monitors I will take suggestions for, I don't play FPS games, so I'm looking for nice colors on my screen instead ;-).

Why am I upgrading

My current PC is around 7 or 8 years old, it's rocking a Intel 7 870, 8 gigs of Ram, a GTX 950 (All I could afford at the last upgrade I made to it). It's beginning to show it's age, and I really want to play more recent titles without having any problems for the future.

Thank you for reading and trying/willing to help to pick my next PC!

Greetings,

Ryujin.

I checked out my profile on PCPartPicker, and I found this old build of mine (Which is close to the price I want, sure it can be fixed ofc.)

But then I saw the PCPP list you provided, between the I7 7700k VS R5 1600, which would be better for 1440p gaming?

Else I'd go with this one (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XH2Pd6), perhaps get another case for it and another graphic card (I don't really find a White build that attractive... Black/Grey-ish would be prefered by me).

And wouldn't a 1070 be enough for 1440p gaming? Or would the 1080 give so much more FPS and smoother gameplay?

If you could answer the question, I can make up my mind and start working on a PCPP

If you check the posts above, I made some changes to some lists I made.

1: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4h4rNN

2: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/pd9bWX

And the 3rd is from you, which I could adept to having my own prefered case and such
