Good enough?

Go to solution Solved by vanished,

As with wifi, these are not perfectly predictable.  They are rated for up to 600 Mbps but depending on a lot of things, including how the wiring in your house is, you may see much lower numbers.  There was a TQ on this recently:

Because of this you can't be 100% sure how they will work without just straight up trying it yourself

Im sorry for "double posting" but with cyber monday coming to a near, I need to buy a pair of powerline adapters. After 3 or so wireless cards, I'm sick with these ones rated at "300 Mbps" but not even giving me 60. I have a 90 Mbps down, on my phone and laptop at least. So would these cheap powerlines work for at least 100 Mbps?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Thanks

These houses are relatively new (5-6 years) and the distance is very short, just not short enough to run a cable through the middle of a passageway.

Would this be a risk? I've seen one review that says they "cant return it"

Amazon definitely lets you return things so not sure what they're talking about it.
