So my Haswell based MSI GS60 2QE battery has died. Has anyone ever had to buy a NEW laptop battery online? Unfortunately my 2 year 3 month warranty ran out in JULY >:( MSI want 100 EURO to have them collect and diagnose it and 'if' they think it is the battery it will cost a further 120 Euro. The warrant isn't yet voided it is just out of date. I think I will carry out the repair myself if the battery can be sourced online.

 

NB. Just some rough math but to get them to fix it (sending it from UK to Poland) is equal to 20% of the value of the laptop from back in 2015.
