Need help choosing cpu/mobo/case for a new build!

I plan on buying a cpu/mobo today during cyber Monday. The only piece I've gotten so far is the gpu, which is a gtx 1050 Ti. I have it in my current computer, but I want to just build a new one from scratch. So I've come for advice on a cpu/mobo combo, and weather to go with AMD, or Intel. I want a mid-range pc that can run mmorpg's/fps's pretty well. Doesn't have to be all max settings, but I want a huge upgrade from my current pc (AMD Phenom ii x4 925, gtx 460, 8 gb ram ddr3 at 2000, 260gb HDD) I've replaced the 460 with the 1050 ti because it finally crapped out on me, but I know it's bottlenecking like crazy in this pc, so I really want a new build. I most likely will in the future upgrade the gpu to a 1060 6gb most likely. So my biggest issue is should I go with Intel, or ryzen? I plan on gaming mostly, but I may upload/edit youtube videos in the future. Nothing quite serious as of now, but as a hobby. Mostly want this thing to be a solid gaming pc. My budget overall, minus the gpu for now, is around 800 usd. I live in the USA, and I will most likely buy parts over the next few months, so the budget can be very flexible. I just don't want to spend 2k, or anything crazy like that. Any suggestions, or help will be greatly appreciated! I'm really indecisive between which way I should go with the cpu/mobo....

Which would you recommend the most? Do either of the builds allow overclocking? Also, thank you very much for your suggestion!

Both allow overclocking. Also if you want it cheaper you could change the 1700 to a 1600 (link 1)

I'd recommend build 2 if its purely for gaming and build 1 for other stuff like streaming video editing etc

Great! thank you for the advice, I may tweak a few things from what people are saying about the mobo's being difficult to install, and the case not having any disc drives for the front of the case, but other than that it seems really solid.

Does this satisfy you or do you need a bit more "oomph"

I think this will definitely satisfy my needs, I just don't like the cases that don't allow disc drives. How do I get the OS on it without a disc?

Get a 1600 rather than a 1700. Great for multi tasking if youre more gaming oriented with a side of video editing.

Many people use the pirated OS, but it is against the rules of this website.

BTW just download pirated OS move it to thumb drive and boot from it

You dont need the extra cores/threads, you're just throwing another $100 for biggers numbers. I would only recommend it if video editing was your main focus, with some gaming.

Also newegg is selling this really good bundle for a 1600. //www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?cm_sp=Homepage_SS-_-P2_3633483-_-11272017&Index=2

Umm... You can OC 1600 and it will be just like 1700, but if you are new and have not done it before, it is not worth the risk.

This looks like a great deal, I think I'll give this combo a shot. Thanks for all the help everyone.
