Hi I've got a GTX 980ti g1 gaming ... Ive got coil whine only when shadow details are set to higher than low ... I can run any other setting at max on any game w/o coil whine ... any idea why only shadow affects it ?

Have you tried turning on vsync?

Ive told it is the same for shadow in EVERY game ... I can link you my 107 games steam library if you wanna look... it is the same for each games ... talking about subjects and not reading properly. ...

Has it always done that? Honestly, I have never had a GPU that didn't have SOME coil wine. Its mainly an issue of "clean power delivery" and capacitors, quite literally, vibrating under load and receiving current. I wouldn't worry

the coil as always been there ... Im not worrying its just annoying.. I know what coil whine is ... I cant put glue on them anymore .... you used to be able to before :(

antec hgc-m 850 watt... it is not a crappy ... its a seasonic rebrand ... I had a rm1000 which did they same thing

For whatever reason, I didn't get a notification about your reply, sorry about that! That's a solid PSU too. It may just be the GPU. I get minor coil whine on my 1080ti when it's at the loading screen in BF1 but that's really it. I game with headphones now and so I can't hear my system anymore. That's the best recommendation that I can give you, especially if its ALWAYS been an issue.

Thx for the answer ! Nah I know its nothing to worry about ... I play with speakers 50% of the time but the sound is decently loud and I do not hear the coil... only during load screen w/o music...

Uhg, I dealt with that with my old GTX760. Fortunately, there is nothing WRONG with your system, just one of its quirks! :)
