GTX 980 Windforce Code 43

Today I has just purchased a full system with a 6700k, 32GB of RAM and a GTX 980. I tested it and all was well until I got home. The card showed an error code 43 in the device manager. I updated drivers, performed a clean install and clean boot and nothing. Card has not crashed or showed signs of instability. Some reason it displays at 800x600 on my 4690k build and on the 6700k it displays at 1080p.

 

Called Nvidia and they don't know.

 

I called another specialist though a reputable repair and custom pc shop in my area ,they said the card may have a custom bios or the card was used for mining.

 

What else should I try and do?
