Monitor acting like it's 144Hz?

I have an LG 34UM60-P and I have freesync enabled. When I did below 75Hz it shutters a bit in WoW. But when it's not pushing hard on fps it locks at 144.2fps just like my old 144hz monitor did.  Below above 80fps is feels super smooth, below 75 is feels sluggish. When I compared the 2 monitors when they were pushing 144fps they felt the same?

You have a GTX 1080, NVIDIA cards don't support FreeSync. At least, that's unless you're using an AMD card at the moment.

Makes sense. What's weird is the freesync range says 40-75, but it seems to stuffer much below 75.
