Quake or Unreal?

I am a teacher who has a load of student ages 13 - 16 who want to play some online first person shooter like quake or unreal. We are planning to do this next week.

 

Do any one know if I can get a copy for free which does need a crack or can some one suggest a free version similar so we can play?

What hardware are they all using? Also I cant really recommend any pirate websites. But for No Cd patches look at gamescopyworld.

The newest Unreal is completely free but I have a feeling most of the PCs won't be able to run it.

The parents have all signed off on the types of games. I am now trying to get copies of the game for each machine so we don't break any copyright and all that kinda stuff.

 

The Pc are HP all in one machine they are about 3 years old. Not really power PC hence the older games.

 Old quake or unreal as the PC's are not really that powerful. Parents have all signed off. just need to get the games sorted now!
