Hello,

I'm looking for second opinions on really cheap graphics cards. Nothing too recent, I'm pairing this with an Athlon 64 X2 3800+. I have a friend that might be able to get me a secondhand GT 620 they used to use, but in case that doesn't work out, I'd like a second opinion on cheap GPUs. PCIe x16 Gen 1 to be specific, I'd like to avoid bottlenecking if at all possible and from my research, a PCIe Gen 2 card will be bottlenecked a little bit by the lesser bandwidth/speed of PCIe Gen 1. I was thinking maybe a GeForce 210, or something older like that. Power isn't a huge issue, I have a 500W power supply with a 6 pin PCIe connector, but I'd like to avoid that if possible as I have no clue as to how good of a PSU this really is(although it's probably garbage to be honest)

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks in advance

What's your budget? Why don't you want a recent release GPU?

Bottlenecking mainly, this isn't a gaming PC in any way(weelllll, Space Cadet Pinball for Windows XP.....)

I don't want to spend too much on a GPU, the main reason I have to get one at all is because the only video out port on the mainboard isn't working. So I need something cheap that won't be bottlenecked by my ancient hardware. I probably won't want to spend more than 40-45 USD on a GPU and I can grab a GeForce 210 from my local Micro Center for ~35

that geforce210 will kill u, even a Intel HD 610 can win it. I recommend u save up more and more money to build a cheap build like 300 bucks

Whether or not the GeForce 210 kills me isn't a problem, I'm not gonna be doing anything remotely taxing on it at all. Plus I basically have a complete system, I just need a dGPU for it to send a signal to the monitor(in case you didn't notice that my only video out port on the mainboard is dead), and I'm upgrading my main rig anyway. And then after my main rig update, I'm gonna upgrade my laptop since the internet on that is going out.
