So around 4 years ago I assembled this build together:

cooler master elite 130

gigabyte z87n WiFi ultra durable

g skill rip jaw x for intel 16gb ram

corsair rm750

western digital 2tb hdd

samsung evo 256 gb ssd,

intel core i7 3rd gen

cooler master 120xl seidon.

I havent used the pc for nearly a year due to far too much remote working from home but the reason for that is, it’s air flow is pretty awlful and it becomes a little too loud. Now I want to change the case to improve this but not quite sure which case to go for. Any suggestions would be great.

I'm currently Using the SG13B(11.5 L). Good case, but can be a pain to put an HDD inside of it.

I also like the Nano S by Fractal Design (26.8 L). It gives you much more space to work with and looks nice.

Fan Comparisons          F@H          PCPartPicker         Analysis of Market Trends (Coming soon? Never? Who knows!)

Designing a mITX case. Working on aluminum prototypes.

Open for intern / part-time. Good at maths, CAD and airflow stuff. Dabbled with Python.

I'd only go with the Nano S for water cooling. It's too big for a "normal" ITX system IMO.

Core 500 ftw. And don't fuggin' use AIO's in those ITX cases. They restrict airflow way too much given those rear exhausts are your only outlet.

Btw, i'm not seeing a GPU. It can't get too hot without one...

Thought I’d see what intel graphics had to offer then put a gpu once I get the noise down lol

Nano s is like the elite from cooler master in terms of compact and size which would result in same problem. Cable management is a nightmare at moment as well parts don’t really have any room everything is jammed together

How can it be noisy, that thing should produce almost no heat. I'd say you're doing something fundamentally wrong.

Aw c'mon. I have an H100, a 240mm, in my SG13B...

Although I totally agree. -

Without additional ventilation (such as the SG13B has kinda has for 120/140mm rads), they don't even match standard coolers.

But the H100 (or a 140mm w/ good ventilation) outperformed a Noctua L9x65 by a noticeable amount.

How are you controlling the fan profile. How warm is the CPU getting.

Last time I checked the cpu wasn’t getting hot on the settings was always under temperature it was the case the fans were louder. Cpu was never getting hot as in hot hot I’m sure. Planning on visiting this issue tomorrow

Can someone translate this word salad for me?
