Hey guys,

My specs:

MOBO: Asus Rampage IV extreme

CPU: intel core i7 3820

GPU: ASUS GTX 770

RAM: 16GB 2x8 Corsair Vengeance

I have a weird problem with my PC, Sometimes when I power it on, there is no signal on the monitor and the motherboard outputs 1 long beep and 3 short beeps, which then even when I restart it does the same thing.

Re-sitting the graphics card temporarily fixes the problem and I'm able to start up the PC, but a few hours into games the screen will froze, and when I restart it the same error with no signal and 1 long beep and 3 short beeps occur.

I was able to start the PC and run a CPU, GPU and memory stress test which ran for 2 hours each. I performed this test individually and all together, temperatures were good. GPU never went over 80 degrees Celsius while at 100%.

What I've tried:

-Resitting the GPU (temp fix)

-Resitting RAM

-Stressing GPU, RAM + CPU

-Graphics card in different PCIE slot (Same error occurs after a while)

-Booting with only 1 ram module , tried individual each

-Tried using different HDMI, DVI and a different monitor (worth trying even though the beep code points to no GPU found)

Any help would be appreciated, as of right now I'm not sure because the GPU performs normal once the PC boots successful

Thanks

that's super weird, so the hardware works fine it seems like, if it was broken you would probably not be able to play for hours.

I would try to go around your components and get drivers for them, try different driver versions, maybe clean install of windows, i suspect a software issue of some kind, maybe driver corruption or windows corruption.

Maybe also it have to do with some power fluctuations from your wall that happens once in a while and fuck things up, do you have an UPS?
