Yeah. It's up to you if you want to spend the couple of extra bucks for the better performance and higher capacity on the ssd but either way it looks good.

Looks good; I would get a different mobo (maybe a B350 strix, x370 prime pro, or x370 gaming 5 instead) and also get a different gpu (cheaper 580 or 1060 6gb instead) but other than that it looks good.

What will this pc be used for?

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Read the title, and also, b350 strix is not avilable in Hong Kong and the rest are all 20 dollars more than the killer, but is the prime x370 pro better?

Derp... I'm an idiot.

I would probably go for a 1060 6gb then for CUDA.

The prime is definitely a lot better but as you mentioned it does cost more. The main reason I suggested it is because the vrms on the killer aren't that great considering the price you're paying.

You could also look into a cheaper option, such as the prime Plus or pro4

It looks like the main differences are:

  • Different bioses
  • Gigabyte has way more rgb
  • Gigabyte has 2 gigabit Ethernet ports vs the prime's one (though most likely this won't matter to you)
  • The gigabyte has more and better USB ports
  • The Asus board has support for 3.1 gen 2 front panel USB ports (USB ports on your case), whereas the gigabyte only has 3.1 gen 1 ports
  • The gigabyte has one extra fan header
  • The gigabyte has some buttons on the board (power button, reset button, clear cmos button) built onto the mobo whereas the Asus has jumpers
  • The gigabyte has dual bios
  • The Asus has arguably slightly better vrms, though for a 1600 it won't really matter.

Looking over specs I think it's fair to say the gigabyte board is better in nearly every way, though it does usually cost more.

Looks good.

Only thing I might change is the ssd, as the su800 is not the greatest. I would look for something like an ultra/blue 3D, MX/BX300, SL308, or 850 evo instead if you can but it looks like you have it for a pretty good price so chances are it's the best deal there is.
