Long story short, the Corsair fans will be a heck of a lot louder at 35Dba but move tons of air. The Noctua fans will move a little less air at the max RPM but will be drastically quieter. I'm guessing that since you were eyeballing the NF-F12's for silence so your best bet would be the NF-P12's. The Noctua's are rated at almost 20Db at the most which makes nearly no noise unless you're less than 6 inches away.

The NF-P12s are amazing across the board. I use the resistor cables that come with all Noctua fans and now the only thing you hear on my computer are my hard drives. Temps have barely suffered at all. Just a few degrees higher, but not enough to raise any concern.
