HELLO LTT! So I have an interesting proposition for you all. I already have a new and great SFF PC for gaming, work, and such (https://pcpartpicker.com/b/YjWD4D), but want to build an additional decent gaming machine ON THE CHEAP. I don't mean pop in a low-end Ryzen chip or order a basic Coffee Lake chip. I'm talking about keeping this thing under $300 bucks but still puling decent performance (do NOT need any peripherals). In other words, it'll be made out of mostly used PC hardware. This machine would be for my university friends to play on when they visit, for my roommate to use rather than his reliable, but rather dismal "gaming" laptop (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0ZK-01E5-00059), etc.

Therefore, my question:

Where are some solid used parts sites? The first ones that come to mind are eBay, CEX, Craigslist, Newegg Refurbished, Amazon Refurbished, etc.

Can anyone think of any other sites and sources? Note: I went to Free Geek once a few years back in the Chicago area (in up in Milwaukee) and saw a lot of great people and mission, but next to no "high end used hardware".

*** I'd primarily want to have as much of it be used parts as possible (think Scrapyard Wars or something by RandomGaminginHD) to save costs.

THANK YOU ALL

PS: I'd like to hear what everyone has to say/suggests, so I'm not going to immediately pick a solution.

I like what I'm seeing so far!
