Hi,

I’m getting BSODs lately and I am trying to troubleshoot the issue. I cannot seem to find a fix though and it seems there are different error codes every time. I’ve tried all sorts and I still cannot seem to find a fix for the issue, please help if you can.

So one reoccuring error code is DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL another is Stop code: SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION What failed NTFS.sys

Yesterday I had Microsoft support on the phone to try and help with an issue I had while troubleshooting (SFC and DISM were not working) and they decided to use the Windows.iso to try and fix this issue. I guess this did not work.

I have tried to take pictures of the stop codes everytime this has happened, I realise its a little unorthadox but I have put them in an album for you to look over. I would add .dmp files but I’m not 100% where they are, I’ll try and do that as an edit.

Thanks in advance. :)

Remove all unneeded USB peripherals. Faulty peripherals can cause memory corruption and more.

Run memtest86+. Do a couple runs.

Remove all overclocks.

Use as little hard drives as possible, a faulty drive could be crashing NTFS.sys.

idk

Got the exact same Error. Things I tried (i removed the gpu for all test):

- boot with only the ssd

- boot with another ssd with fresh windows on witch i installed on another system

- replace Mainboard with a brandnew one since i just got it laying around and never touched it (exactly the same one)

- swap psu

- run with one stick of RAM

- run with the other stick

- disconnect all usb deveices and use PS2 Mouse an Keyboard

- used "ultimatebootdisk" and run mem test 5. something (can look it up if it matters) edit: i've ran it again for 3h straight https://imgur.com/a/I2bEW

Whats got me wondering: either on the old or the new mainboard i get any beep codes for a hardware failure just one single beep witch means according to asus that the mainboard just recognized my vga monitor https://www.asus.com/de/support/FAQ/1029959/

I resolved my error.

I went into UEFI (BIOS) and changed the Active cores from all to 1. The system worked perfectly againg. Then I tried 2 and 3 cores. Worked also. With all 4 cores however the system wont boot either with linux or windows. So my guess is that one of the cores died just out of nothing.

Please give feedback if it works also for you! :D

Maybe try to RMA on manufacturers warranty. My problem isn't booting the OS its BSOD.

I have taken some screenshots of the SMART information of my drives & loaded optimized defaults to see if that maybe the issue. Can someone who knows SMART take a look at these and let me know.

According to CrystalDiskInfo all drives are good with one being at 94%
