Computer Upgrade Help!

Good Morning, 

I was hoping someone could help me figure out what to upgrade on my computer so I can run games and watch stuff at the same time without issues. 

Right now my computer is:

I5-4690K

GTX 960 

8GB Corsair memory (Not Sure the type) 

Gigabyte Z97x-SLI

Corsair CX750M Power Supply

 

Ideally what I would like to do is buy a graphics card around BlackFriday and hope there is a deal going on, I'm thinking about a GTX 1080, 1080TI or (SLI 1080 or 1070 down the line.) The main question I have is it worth upgrading the motherboard and CPU or just upgrading the CPU to an 1150 I7 or leave it the way it is. I would like to upgrade the ram but not sure what I should upgrade it too.

The video card is all I would upgrade as that CPU should be more than enough for gaming.  You weren't very clear in what you were unable to actually do with your current setup.  That computer somehow won't let you play games and "watch stuff at the same time"?  It would be much more helpful if you would clarify what "stuff" is and how you're not able to watch it.  It's also important to know what resolution gaming and what the target is (are you playing easy-to-run eSports titles like Dota and Overwatch, or more AAA stuff like Shadow of War).  Either way, a 1060 6GB or possibly 1070/1070Ti would likely be more than enough and unless you have money coming out of your ears don't even worry about doing SLI (see the latest scrapyard wars finale, it's really not THAT worth it).

After a GPU upgrade, if you really think you need more than 8GB of RAM you could upgrade to 12 or 16 GB and have RAM for days, but that'll only get used if you leave a lot of "stuff" open on your system, or you play some very beefy AAA 4K gaming titles.
