excessive CPU usage by winlogon

My laptop was recently affected by a virus. I got rid of it by using megabytes anti-malware software. But now winlogon is using 55% of the CPU (full time). Please help me to solve this issue.

Anti-virus and anti-malware protection software only removes the thread. It doesn't fix modified system files.

You need to clean install Windows.

You can try doing a system restore to bring your system back in time before you were infected. Personal files (in Documents, Pictures, etc.) should not be affected. But some virus and malware tend to corrupt the the restore points or break system files to prevent System Restore from working.
