looking to upgrade to the iPhone 7 or 8 in a month or two.

I cant pick the differences between them as they are both "really fast" and 99% of specs are the same.

price is not an issue but $1000aud is my upper most limit

here are the links to the site ill purchase from Kogan

I would get a 7 since they're pretty much the same and it's cheaper

If OP has a 1000 AUD budget, might as well go for the 8.

What you're suggesting seems to me almost like buying a 7700K instead of an 8700K -_-.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

How to setup MSI Afterburner OSD | How to make your AMD Radeon GPU more efficient with Radeon Chill | (Probably) Why LMG Merch shipping to the EU is expensive

Oneplus 6 (Early 2023 to present) | HP Envy 15" x360 R7 5700U (Mid 2021 to present) | Steam Deck (Late 2022 to present)

Mid 2023 AlTech Desktop Refresh - AMD R7 5800X (Mid 2023), XFX Radeon RX 6700XT MBA (Mid 2021), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon (Early 2018), 32GB DDR4-3200 (16GB x2) (Mid 2022

Noctua NH-D15 (Early 2021), Corsair MP510 1.92TB NVMe SSD (Mid 2020), beQuiet Pure Wings 2 140mm x2 & 120mm x1 (Mid 2023),

Not technically, the 8700K has 2 extra cores, and given a choice between the two, I would choose the 8700K haha.

But the 8 has wireless charging, better camera, better speakers, faster SOC and overall is better.

The 8 has a better camera, wireless charging, 4k@60 video, Bluetooth 5.0, and a better SoC. If you need 128gb, then get the 7, if 64gb is enough, then get the 8.

this is how I felt at first too, @Crunchy Dragon

Can I wireless charge and listen with ear phones at the same time? (while at work at my desk)

Note: I'm upgrading from a HTC one M7

If you're waiting a month or two you might be able to find an X for a thousand

He's in Australia.

You won't find an iPhone X in Australia for $1000. It just won't happen (unless there is some carrier contract promo -- do you have those in Australia? Although even still, you'd probably know about those deals already).

I'm not too clued in on Australian pricing, I know here in Ireland the 8 plus can already be gotten for 200 less than what apple sell it for so I'm expecting the same for the X

I'd choose the X but I like trying new things, the 8 plus is the safer option sticking with a tried and true formula

I'm just going to leave this here: https://www.apple.com/au/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-x ($1600/$1800).

I would guess you can, it would be shocking if you couldn't, it seems like something Apple would have thought of
