Hi,

I just upgraded to an i5-3570k and a z77 motherboard from my old phenom II.

Games run great (PUBG runs smoother than it used to), but when going to test CS:GO, it booted fine. As soon as I joined a match and got in, it just crashed my pc and it restarted.

I verified cache and it replaced 3 files, and ran it again, hoping it'd work, but I joined another game, and it crashed again.

What can I do to make it run?

Side note: every time it crashes, it sets my default audio out to the onboard audio (but I use a usb sound card/mixer).

I'm poor. How did I even make enough to get all of this.

Main build:

Intel i5-3570k, EVGA 980ti (reference), Gigabyte Z77-D3H, 4x8gb DDR3 (1 kit of Corsair, 1 kit of G.skill), Crucial M500 960gb SSD, Seagate 3tb HDD

Backup build:

AMD Phenom II X6 1045t (OC to 3.7ghz) + Cooler Master Hyper TX3, Asus Sabertooth 990FX, NVidia Quadro FX3800, 4x2gb DDR3, 240gb SanDisk Extreme SSD

Play around with settings, check for driver updates, some programs could be conflicting with the game so I would check your task manager and see if closing some useless/not in use program to fix this issue.

I ended up finding to what I believe was the broken link.

I pulled one of my kits of 2x8 ddr3 out and I can actually play CS now.... but only time can tell to see if that was the full issue, but there's really nothing else to explain the problems I had.
