So, I helped my friend build his computer. It has the following specs:

Intel Core i7 4770K

16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600 Gold

ASUS Z87-PRO

Corsair H80i

Corsair 750D

2TB WD Black

Corsair HX 850

and when he turns it on, it hangs with no screen output and the error code A2. We have tried pressing the MemOK button, swapping RAM DIMMS and trying integrated graphics. And yet, the same result. What next then?

When it comes to pcs this is my area of minimal expertise, so my advice is as follows;

Option 1: Look up on google possible causes of this error, and see if any other people with this motherboard experience the problem, and what solution they had.

Option 2: Contact customer support for the company

Option 3: Cry.

(I have no fuckin idea how to fix bios problems, never had one.)

You sure it says A2? I'm looking through my Pro's manual and there's no A2 in the list of codes.

Since you're using an ASUS mb, it should support BIOS flashback so try that (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87PRO/#support

I'm about 80% sure it's a BIOS issue

I legit tried everything that I could. switched up the ram sticks one ram in every slot one by one  tried no Hdd or dvd. tried with no gpu idk whats wrong im so stressed this is my frist build ever im confident I put everything in the right place and all.

Does the same error code show up if there is nothing on the motherboard but the cpu & its cooler. I.E. no gpu, no drives, no usb devices, no memory, no case fans, no monitor, no keyboard, and no mouse?

If so, it's either cpu or motherboard.

If not the error code should be for some missing item, like memory error. So add that component back on the motherboard. If it's memory, just put one stick in for now. Power up and check the error code. Repeat.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
