Need a set of gaming headphones - siberia v2 a bit old now - thinking of getting some headphones and a modmic 5 or blue snowball

Consider the sennheiser HD280 Pro as well. Between M50x and DT770, DT770 basically sits on M50x

Im chosing between the sennheiser and dt770 - if dt770 than which ohm - not a audiophile

and which is better sennheiser or beyerdynamic

M50X are trash. Personally I would go with HD559s, SHP9500s, or DT770s if you want closed. Neither Sennheiser or Beyerdynamics are better, it depends on the headphones. Beyerdynamics are know for a sound signature with sharp highs that many find fatiguing on many of their headphones, the 770s included. Sennheiser is known for a more relaxed sound signature. Personally I would go 559s or SHP9500s for gaming and music, but 770s are great for gaming also, but you might not enjoy them as much for music.
