Ryzen's RAM compatability

Just a quick question. Can any DDR4 RAM brand, stick or model be compatible with any Ryzen chip? Because I was wondering when I stumble upon Jayztwocents video where he build a Ryzen 3 budget gaming rig using a RAM that I wasn't familiar to and he wasn't familiar either. Thanks for replying in advance :)
