I get low FPS in games. much lower than I should be getting. I have a 4790k and a 1080ti FTW3. In destiny 2 in game playing. when fighting I get around 70 FPS and i dip below 60 occasionally as well as get stutters. In CSGO i get about 200-300 FPS. and occasionally dip below 200 as well. I get stutters in CSGO rarely but still more often than they should happen. And in PUBG I seem to get fine FPS. over 100 usually. and in cities I get 60-70. I know that friends with 980ti's get better FPS than me in destiny 2 and in CSGO and even a 970 is getting about the same amount as me. GPU sits at about 65% usage in Destiny 2 while CPU is at about 70% (I feel like it should be 99% as I play at 1080p and should be getting a bottleneck, It will jump to 99% sometimes though) I have no idea why this is happening. Ive tried overclocking and undoing overclock. given the computer its own dedicated outlet (which fixed a little bit). My main concern is with Destiny 2. All my friends with 1070s and 980tis are saying they almost never even drop below 144. and NEVER drop below 100. Im 80% of the time below 100 and dropping below 60 often.

Thanks

did that. and reinstalled windows. still not fixed...

If you reinstalled windows it's likely a hardware issue then, check your CPU speed and GPU specs with CPU-Z and GPU-Z while running a game or firestrike if you have it. Run the game at it's minimum settings/resolution and see what your CPU does, then run the game at the absolute max settings probably with DSR at 4k and see what that does.

Possibly run memtest to see if your RAM is being strange.

What's the PSU? Are you using a daisy chained cable to the GPU or separate ones?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I will do that. I have cable extensions on my PSU cables? Ive also had problems with my RAM before... but replaced the ram when i did.

Probably take out the extensions first.

might be the motherboard if 2 sets of RAM end up with issues.
